About Us

A peaceful view of a lake with a boat and reeds. — Elks Lodge
A peaceful view of a lake with a boat and reeds.

Right off the shores of a large lake on Kenilworth Blvd, Elks Lodge #1529 has earned its 4.5-star reputation the old-fashioned way: people actually show up, stay late, and leave smiling. The reviews say it plainly. Members describe a place where strangers become regulars within a single visit, where the laughter is real, and where the good done for other organizations around Sebring is a point of genuine pride.

The lodge sits in a spot that rewards you just for arriving. Water views, fresh Florida air, and a crowd that already knows your name by the end of the night. RV travelers rolling through the area keep coming back specifically for the bingo nights, which have developed a reputation as the kind of fun you didn't expect to have at a fraternal lodge.

Beyond the social scene, BPOE Lodge 1529 channels its energy into the community. Fundraisers, charity drives, and partnerships with local organizations give members a reason to belong that goes deeper than a membership card. This is a lodge that does the work.

What We Offer

Lodge #1529 hosts a full calendar of events and programs that keep members connected year-round. Bingo nights are a signature draw, especially popular with visiting RVers who pull up to the lakeside location and discover a genuinely rowdy, welcoming crowd. Weekly gatherings, dinners, and social events fill the schedule with reasons to get off the couch.

Membership opens the door to the Elks National Foundation programs, including scholarships, veteran support initiatives, and community grants that flow directly back into the Sebring, FL area. The lodge actively partners with other local organizations, pooling resources to make a measurable difference.

The facility itself accommodates private events, meetings, and lodge functions. Whether you're a longtime Elk relocating to the Highlands County area or someone curious about joining for the first time, the door is genuinely open and the people inside will make sure you know it.

"A happy friendly lodge on the lake. If you RV here you've got to go play bingo it was a blast."

"You can have an event here if you know an Elk, but you can in no way buy alcohol during your event unless you grab an Elk to get permission. What a let down… Grown adults can’t get a drink after already getting clearance for an event by an Elk.. You have to keep getting your senior citizens up outta their chair every 15 min…. Is it to feel important and a part of the event? Waste of time, awkward event….. You would think in a tiny town, they might make it a little easier to enjoy yourself but no, this is a tiny retirement town that refuses to let the world by in the fast lane…. There’s practically nothing here."

A Proud Heritage

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
